Hospital Visits and TKoE Contest Details

Hey guys   Sorry for my lack of posting, commenting, or updating on dA recently   I haven't been too well lately Actually that's an understatement. The truth is: I've been in hospital for 5 days   

The Diagnosis: Gallstones, an infection caused by gallstone blocking part of my insides and an inflamed gallbladder that's not working properly anymore

The Cure: On antibiotics and have to go back to hospital in 2 or 3 months time to have surgery to have my gallbladder removed


Not looking forward to it The being put to sleep for the operation part I mean *lol* That annoying little gallbladder can go take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned Just the thought of being put to sleep and not waking up or waking up too early in the middle of the operation that scares me



Anyway, future scarey operations aside, here's the details for the TKoE Lady Emma Character Art Contest: Thinking of extending the closing date again due to operation looming on the horizon


For this art competition your task is to draw or depict the character Lady Emma from my YA fantasy adventure story (work in progress book) "The Knights of Eirelaian: Halfling" in any way you wish to, whether it's through painting/drawing/cartoon (traditional or digital) or photography (clay models or photomanipulation or cosplay) or writing, and win the chance to feature in a special Friends of Eirelaian artist feature and name a future character in TKoE as well as win a year's premium membership for deviantART

Uniform: Wears a dark red hooded tunic and black breeches and boots for archery practice, but normally wears a dark red leather short sleeved jerkin over a dark grey padded shirt and black breeches and boots. Rarely wears a dress

Ref: The blonde wore her hair in a long braid that fell all the way down her back and was dressed in a dark red hooded tunic and black breeches. Competition now ends on Febuary 28th 2011. The date has changed again due to me going into hospital to have my gallbladder removed in December/January and not being in a fit state to judge the contest entries around then, and to also give people more time, if they need it, to take part
